Just watched Predator 2 and noticed that the Predator would kill you only if you are armed, Especially the Subway Scene when all the armed citizens and a few Cops got whacked. So Is Predator 2 IYO Anti-Gun. Poll Inbound |

I have caught myself doing the same thing...trying to find the hidden message by reading WAY too much into a movie. Sometimes I think I'm right, most of the time, I think I'm ruining what may be a good movie. Take "Falling Down" for instance. One could read WAY too much into that movie, in either direction. Let it be stated that Predator 2 is not a good movie. Read into it all you want.

 they were simply continuing the trend from the first movie. He didn't kill the girl in the first movie because she wasn't armed. Arnold actually kicked a gun away from her when she was going to grab one. in the 2nd movie, he also didn't kill the woman (who did have a gun) because she was pregnant. Think its anti-abortion too? |

Forget the character, the MOVIE is anti-gun. Consider the subway scene when the thugs are terrorizing the geeky guy: The geeky guy turns out to be a CCW holder but what good did it do him? He, the armed citizen was shaky and nervous even when he presented the gun and drawing the weapon only served to put him into more danger with his criminal overlords. The thug, on the other hand, laughs in the face of the danger of a pistol being aimed at him and simply disarms the CCW holder. This scene must be how liberals imagine any armed encounter with a CCW going down. PREDATOR 2 distorted the honor code of the Predator to mean that being armed will only get you killed, be it by the predator or a gun-toting thug. |
