Do you also have to show them your ccw permit with your other papers? |
I do whenever I am stoped. I have 0 problems. One time when I was stoped for doing 5 ( ) over the limit the officer talked my ear off about the guns I had with me at the time and what he had at home. He was very cool, I just could have lived without the WTF blue lights behind me at the time...lol

Why the for being stopped for 5 over? You were speeding after all... |
He wasn't stopped, he was stoped. Big difference. ![]() BTW, in Georgia, a city or county cop cannot pull you over for 10 or less over the limit if he is using any kind of detection device. |
For one I was in the slow lane and barely keeping up with the cars in front of me. The cars in the two lanes to my left were flying by me. That's why I keyed the: Had I been driving like a jackass and changing lanes every 15 seconds I would have had no problem with it.

oh, come on spectre. what;s the big deal? show em your papers and move along. its a matter of convenience. if you cooperate as a law abiding citizen you'll be on your way home to mama and the kids. if you rebel you may be "slightly" inconvenienced |
It's a slippery slope. When they see that this infringement is being tolerated and accepted they will take the next step. All in the name of "safety" of course. An excuse they will use every chance they get. Sorry, I agree with Mr. Franklin on this one. |

Once, in Texas, being from out of state, I was dutifully driving the speed limit, while Texas cars streamed around me appx 10-15 mph over the limit. A Texas Highway Patrol officer came up alongside me, got on his PA and politely told me I was impeding traffic, I should pick it up a bit. As he passed me I got his tag number in case I had any trouble down the road. Really, this did happen. |
I agree too but driving is not a right and part of me acceptng my license states that I accept and will comply with DUI laws inlcuding checkpoints. If I had that big of a problem I could take the bus though. |
