I used to be... but then there were the surgeries...

No really, I just want to know how the hell does a lame ass band FIRST OF ALL get signed in the first place and THEN have their shitty ass music climb the way up to the top of the charts and record sales soar.

I know this is blasphemy but are bands like Hoobastank et al the Led Zeppelin, The Who, Van Halen, Rush of the future?

Or are the bands of today a mirror reflection of today's society whereas they are disposable after a few hits? They look like a garage band... less the garage.
