...fired a gun from a moving vehicle??

How about while you were driving?

I live in the woods, down some back country roads, and thought it might be fun to bust a few caps while driving.

All in a safe and legal manner of course.

Anybody done it?

Was it a nirvana experience?

Your state may vary, but here in Texas what your describing is against the law.

Been there and done it.  It is a nirvana experience, especially when full auto with ma duece.  Something about recon by fire and watching trees, brick, cars splinter and shatter gets me deep down in the kishkies.

I have done it with a 9mm more recently...fun, but not quite the same.  That and Johnny Law tends to frown on it here in FL as well.

I did some anti carjacking/vehicle defense training on a handgun course once. Car wasnt moving though.

Note to all: Make sure your earplugs are in securely before firing from inside vehicle.

I would have thought it part of the road test for getting a drivers license in Texas.

If using a handgun it seems that it would be only appropreate to shoot it sideways; homie-style from the vehicle.

I have on my friend's land.  Driving the Tacoma on a off road trail with the AR hanging out the window was fun.  Didn't hit shit though.

I think it's illegal in most states. If you do it from a public road.

Now if you're on private property I don't think they can do much, though they might try.

BTW, no, I've never done it. But I was riding with a friend once when he did it. With a newly aquired Mini14!

I think that was the last time I hung out with him. It was a looong time ago.

If it is on private property who cares.....another dumb law that will be ignored.

You're describing the way my grandfaldther usedto take me squirrel hunting.  I would sit on the hood of his old plymouth station wagon with a single shot 16 gauge while he drove around our pecan orchard.

Squirrels aren't friendly to a pecan orchard, you see.

This was before I knew better.

Also, my dad was kinda pissed when he found out.
