The cat isnt doing that itself... If you look right before it trips out, someone has there hand on its lower back....Someone is being mean.

If you take a cat and scratch right where the end of its tail meets its lower back it triggers a nervous reaction, painless to the cat, some actually enjoy it, others hate it and will bite

Yep. Not being mean. My cat loves it, can't get enough. Doesn't make the weird noises, but the tongue gets going.

My grandmother had a cat that would do that.

Scratch it's back right before the base of the tail and it would get skitzo and start doing exactly that.
