I have a .308 Win. Rem 700 PSS with the detachable magazine and hate it. Sometimes it falls out when I shoot and I can't seat bullets long enough to enhance accuracy without running out of room in the magazine. I took the rifle apart and it looks like the standard BDL drop floorplate will go right in. I realize that there would be two ugly notches in the side of the stock but I would prefer those to the magazine setup that is there now. Before I invest the money in the BDL parts, has anyone tried this? Will it work? Info appreciated. |
