Senate GOP Seeks Taxpayer Rebate Checks for Gas Price Relief give everyone $100 and they will forget about the high cost of gas!
|
I won't be voting for Dems either. I'm voting third-party from now on. I'm through with 90% of Republicans. And I'm not buying the "not voting for Evil Party #1 is a vote for Evil Party #2" line either. They both need to go. |
|
How true, how true... It brings to mind the David Chappelle skit where Tyrone Biggums gets his reparation check
|
When you figure it out, IM me. Actually, I predict my two Senators will nix it. They generally do the intelligent thing. It's sort of frustrating sometimes. I want to send a rant to someone, but I can't. Except for my dumbass representative Aderholdt. My relief valve. ETA
As long as the Chicoms will buy our government paper to fund it, this will work, cause we ain't got it ourselves. Hell, it'll cost em $50 to process the $100. |
Im rich Biotch!!!! |
$100 "rebate", just like a store rebate that we'll have to fill out a form and send in receipts, than wait 6-8 weeks before having to find out where our check is, having them tell us that they're sending the check now and then wait 3-4 months before we get the check. ![]() Rebates suck. Just lower the fucking prices. |
You hit the nail on the head, Sir. I am sick of voting for the lesser of two evils, and I'm not going to do it anymore. Third party for me unless we get a real candidate that I can support with a good conscience. |
|
Cut the gas tax...Open up new refineries, drill Anwar and offshore and at the same time develop alternative sources. I experienced the gas lines in the 70's and if a program that rivaled the moon program was created to develop other fuels we would not be going through this shit now. |
Ah, but I do have a choice. I choose to vote 3rd party. With the exception of a few individual Republicans I like, they've lost me as a voter. The "lesser of two evils" argument no longer holds any water with me. If you're voting for the lesser, you're still voting for evil. If a few million other voters would just do the same and refuse to vote for either evil, then things would start to change. It wouldn't even take a 3rd party takeover. If the Republicrats start seeing 20% of the voters rejecting them, they might actually stop and wonder why. |
Who is complaining? I just think $100 bucks is cheap. Actually FUCKING CHEAP. Don't know what part of country you are in (or if you are a Dr.) but $100 bucks is just about not worth my time
|
But... but... but... we have a Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHT to cheap gas. It's the Eleventy-Fifth Amendment that guarantees me gas below $2.00 per gallon, isn't it?
