Is it against the law to store guns/ammo/knives in storage units that you rent?

read the policy of who you're renting from. IIRC it's at the discretion of the company. the lease agreement i signed the last time i stored my stuff specifically said no guns/ammo, but allowed knives.
just keep in mind, it's not the safest storage place usually
