Anyone know of any quality cruise ship lines which are more family oriented etc. I have a female friend who is planning on taking a cruise this fall but is concerned over safety issues, etc. Not a Mardi Gras on the high seas but something more family oriented. I know *of" Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Dawn, etc - but I'm curious if any particular one has a better reputation. Weird question I know. Thanks.

I went on RC about 4 or 5 years ago and loved it.

Can't comment on the other.
RC could have went down the tubes in the last 4 or 5 years for all I know so take my opinion for what its worth.

For "family" I assume you mean little kids....Disney.


IMO, cruises, with the alcohol, casino in the middle of the ship, adult atmosphere, adult oriented shows, etc are for adults.  

If you want to take kids, go Disney Cruise Line.


My wife and I went on a RC cruise last year.  Good time although next cruise will be a Celebrity cruise ship.  A notch higher than RC, from what I hear.
