Well, people, things are interesting right now. My Australian mate was in Karachi the other day when the VBIED occurred, and is OK. My girlfriend is no longer infectious with TB. I am currently testing negative for TB, and am no longer under quarantine. I slept in my own bed for the first time in a month. Enjoyed A/C for the first time in a month, when the weather has been in the 90s every day. Had hot running water. Got to sit down on the toilet, instead of squatting. The simple pleasures of life, I have to tell you! I have spent the last month lurking on Arfcom Lite using my cellphone. Not being able to post SUCKS. I just wanted to say thank you to the guys that have kept me going the last little while, sending IMs and support when things were not going so well. If it wasn't for ARFCOM, I would be a crazy man now. Wait. Strike that. I would be a crazier man.

X-rays and skin test. BTW: I am on standby for the gig in Pakistan, but not getting paid unless I actually go. I believe we can negotiate a better price, now, for some strange reason... ![]() I am also in discussions about being the head firearms instructor for a security training firm in northern Thailand. We'll see if that happens. If so, I will be more than OK. |
