I posted a month or so ago about my fear of killing a deer. Well, last Saturday I shot my first doe. She was awful small, but she sure did look big in the scope.
Sunday, the day after, we went back to same spot, 20 minutes later this buck came walking right up to us after my husband called him in. Im happy with it, and there was no fear. Our freezer is rapidly filling, for which I am very happy. Thanks again to everyone for your moral support.

Three weeks earlier, my husband shot this one a few miles from my kills. Considering last year we were completely shut out, we are thrilled to get 2 bucks in one season.

His shot turned the lungs to a slightly lumpy puree. My shot hit one lung and pureed the liver.
The .223 works just fine.

I cant beleive that you guys are shooting deer that size a mere 400 miles north of me.

Around here when you shoot a deer you just stick it in your pocket and continue hunting!
