Yeah sure, it took a lot of effort to put it in the box and give it to the brown truck guy. Yeah the box and handful of peanuts costs too. But 10$ to ship a single magazine in a little cute box marked 1lb? Didn't expect that much in shipping. Tonight I am feeling cheap and I feel about 5$ has been picked from my pocket. |

There are companies that don't charge shipping. Black Hills Shooters Supply comes to mind. Guess what? They charge more per item, and on a large order that adds up to more than a shipping charger from their competition. You're not getting out of it, unless you buy in massive bulk. Fact of life. |
I agree. I've often stopped internet buys because of how much S&H shows up on the checkout. If they want 5$ more for the item, I'd really rather see it in their list price instead of them showing MSRP compared to their "discount price". |
| Company I worked for paid the entire warehouse/shipping/recieving staff's salary and the department's operating costs through the shipping/handling charges. I agree it doesn't make much sense for some one off ebay buy but when you're buying from a business they are not just charging you to recoup their costs of using UPS. |
