Well the collection agenvy has kept calling and hanging up, so finally Im able to call them back and talk to someone. I had to keep it clean I quess since I called them, normally when they call me Im not that nice and blame them for my problems. They still need to justify that $32 dollar charge before they will see it. They just dont listen either, I have told them Im dead mutiple times, they keep calling. If they keep calling and hanging up after 3 seconds can I report them for harassment? |

Have you sent them a letter telling them not to contact you anymore? www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/fdc.htm |
Not yet, may have to |
Dude, why is everything you post so negative. I don't think I have seen one positive post from you in months.
|
Its just they way I am. I can be worse in person, likey yesterday. "Just give up John your never going to get anywhere in life, may as well cut off your legs and try to get disability" |
No that was a diffrent number calling a diffrent number. Then again they may have been looking for someone related since I told them I was dead |
I sure hope there was suppost to be a decimal point in there. |
Yea there was, its fixed. They have probaly lost money trying to get it |

Send them a Cease and Desist letter stating you do not do business with collection agencies and you will only deal with the original creditor. Send it certified, return receipt requested. By law, they have to abide by your request and send your account back to the phone company. Then deal with the phone company and I'm sure they will either send you a copy of the charges or just forget about it. BTW, this is federal law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. (I was a bill collector for over 15 years) |
I told him to buy a saw at Harbor Freight |

You have a right not to be contacted by phone. I would send a limited C&D and a demand of validation request to the CA. Here's an edited cut and paste of an actual letter I sent to one of those scumbag CA. I have X'd out the account numbers, certified mail numbers, etc:
I sent it certified mail, RRR, did NOT sign the letter (signatures have a way of jumping documents with CAs.) |
