| I know this may kicking a dead horse, and I have a good idea on how most people view him. I have watched his mivies before, and just tonight watched the 9/11 movie again. Call me naive, but I can't figure out if this guy is making this shit up, or if he is actually naming facts. I hate to think that the leadership of this country is as crooked as he makes it out to be, but some of the statements and footage he publishes are very compelling. I understand that a large tool of the media is to produce what sells, thus cutting and patching video to portray things in that direction. Let your comments fly PLEASE. I will openly admit that I am not a fan of the president, nor any candidates we have had in the last few elections. Some may call me a troll, or maybe things worse because I don't know what to believe, and what not to. Give me some insight!! |

You have to look at his statements on a fact by fact basis. What questions do you have? He constructs what I would call ambush propoganda based on the facts he chooses to include or exclude. He certainly has a political agenda. If you have any concerns about the validity of his data, we can probably help you verify. |

I guess my main question would be if it is a fact that Bush has a financial arrangement with the Bin Laden family, or the Arab nations in general. Was 9/11 actually a conspiracy that started in the White House? Has Bush been trying to cover his tracks since then? Are we there in Iraq now to throw the scent off? Why is it so damned hard to find Bin Laden? I guess these are starters. |

In the beginning of the movie, George Bush is a dimwit, a fumbling retard who couldn't find his ass with two hands and a GPS. But after the middle of the movie, George Bush has suddenly transformed into an evil genius, rivaling Lex Luthor in intelligence and ruthlessness. Now which is it, Mr. Moore? Since you have your head on straight about guns, watch "Bowling for Columbine" You will easily be able to see through his half-truths and manipulations. |

moore is a socialist with an agenda which he actively promotes with his documentaries. his main targets are young minorities. his message in f911 was basically it was a war fought for oil at the behest of big corporate america, blacks in particular are descriminated against in the jobs market, so they turn to the military where they become cannon foder. typically capitalist pigs exploiting the common folk. the message plays well with many minorities that i have talked with. it rings true to them. moore supported nader in the previous presidential election. and i think he has actually stated that he is a socialist. his movies hit their mark with their intended audience. they are clearly crafted propaganda (lies). |

From what I have read and heard, the individual details that Moore puts in his films are in fact correct. However, he cuts the original footage in a way that distorts the overall situation or what really happened. It would go something like this if Moore was interviewing me about Bush. Moore: "Do you think Bush is a good President?" Me: Sometimes, yes, sometimes no. Regarding the Iraq situation, I think is going much better than people are lead to beleive. I think he has made some big mistakes in other domestic issues such as the border with Mexico, taxes, etc." Now, what would make it into the film would be the following: Moore: "Do you think Bush is a good President?" Me: Sometimes, yes, sometimes no. Regarding the Iraq situation, I think he has made some big mistakes. Did I say all those things, yes. Is each phrase something I factually said, yes. Is it indeed what I said or implied...NO. That is how he lies. |
My present belief is that bin Laden travels only at night in the company of non-relatives, and communicates very infrequently to his al Qaida field commanders. His exact location is only known to the small entourage of less than 20 people, including perhaps 3 doctors, who travel with him, and perhaps one or two "arrangers" who are outside the entourage. It is the responsibility of the arrangers to scout possible safe houses on a daily basis, and on occasion "sanitize" locations before or after bin Laden's visit. I believe that coalition forces have never been in a very good position to capture and/or kill bin Laden, and may not be again until perhaps January or February. This winter will be extremely hard on bin Laden due to his deteriorating health. I further believe that bin Laden has never been more than a few hundred miles from Khandahar since 9/11. He has not been to Syria, Iraq or Iran. In 2002, an offer of safe haven was supposedly extended to him by certain elements in Chechnya, but I don't believe that he or senior al Qaida leaders took the offer seriously, and I doubt that the Chechns could have provided him with the security that he obviously needs. |
No... Moore is a master of distortion but he is also an outright liar. One prime example is in Bowling for Columbine (BTW that title is based on a lie) in the scenes where he gets the rifle from the bank and he does not include that he had to go do a background check but instead plays it like he could just walk out of the bank with the rifle no strings attached. | I figured this would be a good place to start asking questions. I just put it off for a while, trying to come up with my own conclusions, and find facts for myself. It's just hard to sort through all the BS that rolls around out there. Once again, thanks for the input. |
