I work at a .gov. Not a real special one either. We have armed guards. Our premises are off limits unless you are expected and have an escort. If you do not work there they will run you through all the metal detectors and xray machines. We have these access cards we have to wear at all times and use to get into the building and rooms. When you key into the building sometimes a buzzer goes off and you have to be "randomly" searched. Random my ass! I get tagged 2-4 times a week, and both times coming in today. Others say they only get it once every few weeks. First off, I hate getting searched. Secondly, why the heck am I getting buzzed all the time? I wonder what will happen if I refuse. I think I am going to start wearing my badge on my ear like a cow and mooing. Anyone else have to put up with this crap? -Foxxz Being bitter on a monday... |

At my last job they did "random" searches. I knew people who had worked there for years and never gotten searched but sometimes I'd get hit twice a week. I once had a Gerber pocket knife in my pocket that I had forgotten to leave in my car and it was confiscated. When I went to go pick it up I was told that it had never been reported and they didn't have it. Turn around on "security" there was pretty high, because so many got fired for stealing from employee lockers. Abe |
that sounds like ARC in gainsville. good luck, seems they like you for some unknown reason. |
Just one a blue moon now at the main gate. Don't have to worry about getting searched in our building, even so if they want to get over zealous, I would just fuck up their day by blocking all internet traffic to their machines to .mil (makes surfing the net real boring). Could even shut the ports they are connected into on and off at random. I work in a NOSC BTW, don't screw with the people who run the network.
