I'm shopping around for a carry handle scope mount and the difference in prices is amazing. I see them for 7.00 all the way on up to over 100. And these are all the same type and style, I'm not mixing styles, just the straight "sit in the groove" type.

Is there any reason not to just grab the 7.00 one and count my blessings?

Bump for maybe someone on the night crew?

No takers ...

I'm also curious.

I'm gonna save you at least $50 in wasted experiments:
ARMS, particularly the ARMS #2.
Precision machined with a little groove that headspaces onto your carry handle.
They also make other similar mounts.

If you buy anything else, you're sure to be disappointed.

I had one on my first AR. It was one of those $7.00 specials.

That thing would shoot .5 MOA 5-shot groups with black hills 55 gr. FMJ.

I can't say how it would have held up in 'real world' use, but it worked great off the bench.

I think you're going to be very disappointed with performance so just buy the cheap one and get it out of your system.

I wasn't happy with any of the carry-handle solutions for various reasons.

YMMV.

As I said, ladies - stay away from B-Square and all that other crap.
I was shooting a Leupold Vari-X III off the carry handle of my Competition HBAR and never had it loosen up in slightest.  Kept zero without fail

Of course, I didn't give up and buy the cheapest shit I could find, either.
ARMS #2.

Arms has a through hole that you can use to torque it down with an Allen wrench, small screwdriver, etc.  If I didn't take mine off and on periodically I'ld torque it and loc-tite it.

I don't think you can hand tighten any of them secure enough to be sure of.
