I just recieved this from my son. He is the computer nut, not me.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I have lost ???????  ie explorer damn it!!!!

I can email but for some reason I can not surf the web, and other programs that connect to the web
for updates, etc. can not connect either.

could you find the newest version of explorer and email it to me?

the complete version that I have is as follows

6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_sp2_gdr.050301_1519
at this point any thing newer than this may help!

I am not sure but it could have been a down load TROJAN  that attacked explorer
update the programs and run checks on your computer first, just to protect your self

If he has Windows XP try the Restore option and restore to an earlier date, 2-3 weeks ago. That will sometimes fix it. Something similiar happened to me but with Microsoft Outlook. I could surf the web but could not use e-mail at all. Did the restore and all worked well.

Problem solved. It was a wireless router that failed, but would still hit Outlook Express.

Wired the computer to Comcast router and everything works. Seems funny that the wireless system would hit Outlook and not Explorer.

Thanks for the info. He is checking out Firefox now.
