Well I put a top on my CJ5 this weekend getting it ready for winter driving. Now I just need to get a heater installed before it gets too cold, maybe by the end of the month.

That reminds me, I have to get the jetskis ready.  Pull the batteries, drain the gas and fog the engine.  Motor oil in the cylinders.  Thats about it.  And trickle charger for the batteries.

I ran all the gas out of the lawn mower today so it's ready for it's long storage. And it get alittle colder than 40 around here in the winter time

come to NY...ill show you what "winterizing" really means...20-30  below 0 temps are not uncommon.

:-)

What year is that?  If you have to install a heater anyway you might see about throwing a blower motor from a 71-76 Blazer in there.  Makes for a better heater than the weak jeep one.

Nice cj.

When I moved to Colorado, I thought it would be cold, it wasn't bad at all.  Up here in Vermont, it does get cold.

Aww, that's sooo cute! Your "Winter" is a Michigan Spring and Fall!

FWIW the only thing I do to my truck in the Winter is add some sandbags to the bed over the axles if the snow is going to be more than 3" or so that day. Wife's Jeep Liberty (w/full time 4x4 and antilock brakes) is good-to-go though, it's the best winter driving vehicle I've ever driven.

Aww, that's sooo cute!  Your "snow fall" is barely even a dusting in Alaska!

I can only remember two times where we had a snow delay, and that's because we topped more than 15 inches of snow.  So it was a two hour delay.  My 4x4 pickup never had any problems up there.

Waiting for the Buffalo NYers to respond....

Actually it has already hit down to 30 at night here. And as far as the Jeep is concerned, it is a 1975 CJ5 with manual steering, manual 4 wheel drum brakes. And We restored it from the ground up, it took a year to do this. I opted not to put the org. heat/fan system back in it due to it was 30 years old. The tub is fiberglass so I'll go with a Moab heater.
