So I listed a camera lens for sale on craigslist.

I get this reply:

Hello,
Compliment of the season to you. I am Israel Ojei from Alabama,USA.But
Presently i am leading a conventional church program in London. I saw
your item advert on Craigslist and i'm interested in buying it for my
son who is studying in the University of Lagos (Nigeria) also am willing
to make you an offer of $500 and i will handle the shipment expenses.I
will send you my personal fedex account number after the payment so
that you can ship the item to him without paying any shipment fee. I will
be sending you payment via USPS (USPS MONEY ORDER),So kindly send me
your Address and name so as to immediately make out my payment to you.
Make sure you get the package ready for immediate or next day shipment
okay?.You can ship the item as soon as you receive the Usps Payment
confirmation mail. Expecting your responce soon.

Take the offer.

Then just delay shipping until that check clears, REALLY clears - as in over a month......

You could always use his Fed-X number to ship a few bricks. "Oops, I sent the wrong package. Sorry, I'll get that lens out tomorrow......"

Get an old, broken lens and fill it with lead shot and send it off. Should 5-6 lbs, my Fedex software gives a rate quote of $241.00. Thats should make them happy.....

Isn't that a big enough red flag for you?

Personally, I would not waste my time fucking with this guy. These guys are pros, in the end you could still possibly get screwed and not even know it till its too late.
