Talking with some young man with my telephone company the other day about when they plan on getting digital phone lines in my area. Right now they're analog and the fastest I get for my dial-up is 24.4bps.. Anyway, was talking to him about how I have a real crappy cell provider and still have a year on my contract. He said where he was (Iowa) there was it is a No Contract State which means the contract is only good for about 90 days. You were not bound by it. He said there are a bunch of states that are like that but he didn't know if Arizona was one of them. He got the info off of google, but when I google it, nothing comes up. the law was put on the books because of minors being locked into contracts and having problems, but there isn't an age limit on it. This guy wasn't trying to sell me a cell phone or anything. He was a nice guy and very helpful with all my questions. I don't know what motivation this guy would have to lie to me about something like this, but I can't find it. Has anyone else heard of this? |
