I've been trying to understand what they are about, but for the life of me, I just don't get it. I get that they are supposed to be all for protecting animals, yet along with the HSUS they slaughter 10's of thousands of cats and dogs every year. Of course they don't call it killing, it's called Euthanasia, but the end product is the same. Between 2000 and 2004, PETA slaughtered over 10,000 dogs and cats at one Norfolk, Virginia "shelter" alone. For the past three yeas, this "shelter" has slaughtered more than 85% of the animals it has taken in. In fact, two PETA employees in North Carolina were recently indicted for dumping 18 dead dogs and cats into a dumpster -- and authorities found 13 more dead dogs and cats in their van. Did you know that the Hardcore activists are against dog and cat ownership? They call it slavery. They would rather see all domestic animals go extinct and they say so. Now, if they care about these animals so much why would they want to see them become extinct? Anyone ever notice that PETA's so called spokesperson Andrew Butler usually wears a leather belt? I wonder where he thinks the material for that belt comes from. Did you know that PETA has been linked finacially to ELF (Earth Liberation Front) and ALF (Animal Liberation Front) 2 organizations considered by the FBI and the #1 DOMESTIC terroism threat to YOU and your family right now? These organizations have been described as: the most fanatical and most extremist anti-hunting organizations in the world. I wonder how many peoplewould still support PETA after they found out that the majority of their donations weren't going toward the aide of animals, but towards the pockets of PETA's leaders and to these Eco-Terrorism groups? These people have commited crimes against hunters INCLUDING assault! Did you know that just as Saddam Hussein once provided $25,000 cash to the families of suicide bombers, PETA provided a similar amount to the family of Rodney Coronado -- who was convicted of a multi-million dollar firebombing at Michigan State University? It's true. Did you know that Their website teaches kids how to be "animal Rights rebels," how to ridicule kids who drink milk, and how to boycott classes? Go ahead, check out the PETA website. PETA compares hunters to the KKK and Jeffrey Dahmer, the notorious serial killer who ate his victims -- and claims that hunters are no different than "Nazi doctors and slave traders." You need to know the facts as well as what I believe about PETA and their fellow "animal rights" extremists. Your fellow gun owners and hunters across America need to know the facts. And your neighbors and friends need to understand what really happens to theeir money when they send a contribution to PETA.

I'll agree 100% with that. Of all the left wing groups, PITA is the one that I hate the most. Those psyco assholes were protesting Bloomingdales--at CHRISTMAS time, right by where they had Santa set up for the kids. They had disgusting signs that they were waving around, right near MY 2 and 6 year olds. Probably a good thing I didn't have a gun. I did go on a finger wagging, mama bear type rampage that I THINK the stupid college kids will remember. It did get a bit heated... It ended when I raised eyebrow and told them to go ahead and call the police. They didn't. Chickenshits. |

PETA is a bunch of extremist whack-a-loons. Their extremist positions and childish tactics to their cause more harm than good. I can get behind the outright banning of factory farming practices and banning animal testing in cases of consumer products (ie, cosmetics, hygeine supplies, pet foods etc). If they would concentrate on those issues, and on informing the public in a rational manner, they could do something useful. As it stands, they are a laughingstock. The ways they try and spread their message is moronic, as they cause most people to hate them, or simply dismiss them. Their wrongheaded ideas about the balance of nature and man's stewardship of it are just one example of this. Euthanizing animals that are sent to them is the inevitable outcome of people who have been converted by PETA's jackassery (ie, brain dead morons) who missed the part where PETA states that they are a lobbying organization and advocacy group, not an animal shelter. And supporting ecoterrorism, along with paying themselves rather excessive salaries (the head of PETA makes 250k a year, if I recall correctly-but then again, in many 'charitable' organizations the higher-ups have determined that their summer homes and yachts are charitable causes) destroys any credibility that they have with the general public. Seems odd that an organization which hates hunting appears to be intent on shooting it's own foot (but then again, better shoot your own foot than a poor precious deer, right? ).
