I've got an interview tomorrow for a supervisor's position at a manufacturing facility.

Two months ago I was in a motorcycle accident and came out with a broken wrist. I got my cast off almost two weeks ago, but am in a short brace. Should I wear the brace to the interview or take it off? Or do you think it won't matter one way or the other?

When I have the brace off my wrist feels fine except its still real stiff and I have limited movement with it. Its also not my hand shaking hand, so no worries there.

This probably isn't a big deal, just looking for opinions.

I would not wear it. No need to suggest to the internviewer that you might be limited in what you can do, or that you ride bikes and get injured.

I agree. If it is not necessary or does not cause you undue pain, go without it in the interview.

Leave it at home.

Don't mention any medical problems.

If it acts up during the interview process, just tell them you strained it playing basketball..as you are a big brother to some displaced kids.

 Right? Right?

  It's all smoke and mirros

I went to an interview in a sling after I fell down a flight of stairs drunk the weekend before it. I got the job. This job was crap locating utility lines, not anything in management, I would reccomend you don't wear it as the interviewer will draw any number of conclusions about it.

Do not wear it. Last thing any company whats is someone with a history of workers comp or other med problems.

"Safety is #1" you will hear.  That is the thing they harp on the most.  If you are seen to be injured, you will be perceived to be an unsafe worker.

Do not wear it, they will view it as a liability issue

Many companies have a set of interview questions for all employees. Some use a "panel" of 3-6 interviewers from different parts of the Co. -say 1 from operations, 1 from admin, 1 from maintenance, and each are asked to write their own response to the canidates answers. Questions like "Tell us about a confrontation between you and a fellow employee or supervisor,  or two employees other then yourself, and how did you deal with it?" Also "Tell us about a situation where a problem came up, and what you did to reslove it?"  and "Tell us about a major accomplishment in your life".  Good Luck, let us know how it goes.
