[ARCHIVED THREAD] - ?? about windshields

Anyone know of something I can use to kinda "buff out" a windshield? I have a Jeep, there is quite a few tiny chips ( by tiny, I meen the size of a tip on a push pin) I dont really notice them unless I am driving into direct sunlight ( like half hour after day break) Then It become very hard to see..

Anything that can be done with it other than a new $300 windshield?

Call your insurance company. Most will waive the deductible and pay for repairs. An auto glass shop can repair small chips easily.

Sweet.. I forgot about them.. they are only an hour from here..

I wonder what a shoudl would charge if I brought my own windshield in.

Seriously, call your insurance agent. No cost to you and no claim 'penalty'. I beleive most states have this policy.

Have had two replaced with no $$$ repercussions.

i have had two, and two more because thier repair work was shitty.

dont have it removed if u dont have to, trust me.
