I'm looking to purchase an assault pack. I want to use it as my bug-out-bag, that I keep loaded and ready with emergency supplies in the closet. I'd like the following options: -3,000-4,000 cubic inch volume total -has a good size main compartment with smaller side pockets that I can fill with mags and ammo at last mintue -*optional* molle compatible. I like this camelbak, but it only holds 2,550 c.i.: http://www.camelbak.com/mil/cb_prod.cfm?Product_ID=305&CATID=6 I've come across some other ones that are nice, but they are $300-$500. Where I'm not going to be using it for work, I think it's a bit overkill to tie up that kind of money. I'd like to stay closer to the $150-$175 mark, but may go a bit higher if needed (the Camelbak sells for well less than retail on the web). Is the camelbak big enough, and I don't know it? I'll have spare cloths, MRE's, first aid, etc. in it. Suggestions would be appreciated! |
