All it tells me is that we all agree.  Thus, there is little to really SAY to a thread like this, other than "I agree"

On the other hand, a post about a cop tasering a crackwhore in the ass will have all kinds of armchair quarterback, cop haters, cop defenders, drug legalization supporters, and tons of other people, who all disagree - arguing for weeks.

Never Forgive.. Never forget..!

I can still close my eyes and see the television screen as I got ready for work that faithful morning.  Nothing will ever erase the people jumping from the towers or my mohter in laws aunt who worked for Aon never seeing her husband or children again.

Dont ever forget the scenes you witnessed on September 11th.  Do not let your children forget what happened to this country on that date.

Well that settles it.

2nd time in two days that's been posted in GD with no reprecussions from the MuslimMaggot Islamofascist apologists on Staff here so I take it that means we're free to post it again without being banned.

Sad that a thread about "digging out warts" not only gets more views, but more reply's also.

Impossible to forget. Did anyone watch the national geographic special "Inside 9/11" last night? Excellent information on the background of the 9/11 attack.

As close as this was to me here, and knowing people who lost loved ones that day, you can rest assured that I will never forgive OR forget that day and the repercussions of it.

The term "Too close to home" took on an entirely new menaing in my life, that day.

I can't even look at those things anymore......  But they damn sure need to be seen.

Jet fuel, burnt electronics, smoldering hair, spoiled meat.  Strong odor best described as "burnt bananas".  All of us on the Search Team still experience it, and it's always when we least expect it - like mowing the yard, and then you'll smell it.

The docs say it's "olfactory hallucinations".  But when you smell it, you know what it is.

I wasn't there, and I seek to better understand what it must have been like THERE rather than from behind a TV.

We have spoken at functions for the past four years and it gives people who's only connection was through electronic media an emotional sense of what it was like for my dog to find a piece of flesh about the size of a cantaloupe.  The piece of flesh had the ball of the femur sticking from it, and it looked like pure porcelain.  No sign of age-related degeneration.  probably someone in their twenties.  And I looked at it for a long time before putting it in the bucket and taking it to Forensics.

When I got home, I took the trailer hitch off my Trooper because I would see that perfect femoral ball instead of the trailer hitch.

Everything was gray, like the dust cloud when the towers collapsed.  We would find empty shirts, still buttoned up.

Most of us that were on the Search Team can't bear to watch it on TV or listen to clips of it.  We usually leave the room if something about it comes on.  We call it being "ambushed" because it just comes out of left-field and there it all is again.

They brought falconers from JFK airport and fired rockets to scare off the seagulls that were carrying remains.

I found a fireman's hood with his name in it and an FBI Kevlar vest with the agent's name.  Those two things were probably the worst because they made it personal.  And there were plane bits everywhere, with the distinct green paint found on the insides of the airplanes skin.  Very surreal.

We are allowed back every year for the memorial service and descend into the Pit with the family members.

I'll have to give this a +1...I don't understand the difficulty in understanding what and who we are fighting.

And I too will never forget, and will never forgive...it was a horrible day seared into my memory...unfortunately there are many in this country who have forgotten, or even worse are the ones who now say we deserved it...my hatred for them knows no bounds

My aunt lives in Confucious Plaza which is a co-op in Chinatown, Just a stones throw away from towers right by the Manhattan bridge. She has a place on the 40th floor and I think that's what she described.

As Zaphod stated, he wasn't there and wanted to know what it was like.  TV can not capture the scope of the destruction.

Here's a pic of  five or six rescuers in a bucket being lifted to the pile.  Looking northwest, World Financial Center One and Two from left-to-right with the New York Telephone Exchange on the far right:

Same guys, look at the size of the bucket compared to the remains of the Wall of the Tower:

Many people have forgotten...........witness the 'nam era type of anti-war bullshit.  Also, it seems quite a few members of this very board have forgotten.

I think it was Showtime which has been showing a docudrama.....DC 9/11: Time of Crisis (I think that is the title) about how Bush and his people reacted to 9/11.  Very good show.  The Bush bashers, both here and elsewhere, would not like it.
