I got to shoot my first full auto weapons last weekend! It was a blast and now I really want one but the price tag on such weapons and the fact that I live in a fairly liberal city will probably kill my hope of ever getting one. :(

I got to shoot 2 variants of the MP5! Very sweet weapon! Thanks, Scooter308!

Well blah!  I was excited about it.

I know what you mean.  I've shot a variety of FA stuff, and always walk away with a smile.

1934/1986.  What bullshit.

I'd settle for just getting rid of '86 though.

I feel your pain. I might be able to afford some Short Barreled Rifles & silencer set-ups but i doubt I will ever be able to have a M-16 or MP-5.

It doesn't matter if you live in a liberal city, if they are legal in your area, then either get the CLEO signoff, or incorporate & ignore them.   A corporation will bypass the CLEO signoff.

Corp is probably my only chance. I can’t afford one right now anyways but maybe in the future if the "assault weapon" ban on Columbus doesn't spread to the suburbs I will have a chance at getting one.

I've carried FA stuff at work for years but get to shoot more with friends (LEO) stuff when they come out. It's fun but not worth the moola.

I got to thinking about that too. I would spend a fortune on ammo!

Or better yet, get some machinetools and apply for a manufacturers' permit as an R&D tech. Then get anything you want at dealer prices

ETA, IIRC, it comes out to a little over $100 a year. If you shop around for machine tools and buy used, it may even be cheaper than the cost of an MG (meaning your second purchase is where you'll be saving money; and at those prices, you'll be getting rid of your own civie crap to make room for the real shit). Also, no messing around with beat up MG's.
