The FCC could put serious hurt on people that make or use that, but they seem to be lazy bastards that only want to restrict HDTV recording.

Like anyone stupid enough to violate the law and buy one. The FCC would fine and jail most people caught with one of these. Jamming any communication is a violation of law. Knocking out cell phones in homes in the distance is just asking for a civil suit.
