I will be interviewing with a company soon. The person I briefly spoke to told me that their shift employees work a 7/3/1 schedule and that it works out that you work 14 days out of every month. I assume they work 12-hour shifts. I will get more info during the interview. Anyone work this schedule? If so, how does it work--how many days in a row do you work and how many do you have off in a row? A sample schedule or a link to a website that explains this would be appreciated. |

My roommate had a schedule like that. Here is a sample of how a month would be. Nights is 7pm to 7am and days is 7am to 7pm. Then there are off days. The key is D=day N=night, and O=off. This example is for a 31 day month. Just plug the first letter into the first day of a 31 day month, march 2005 for instance. Their schedule starts on a monday. Hope this helps. Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri Sat Sun N N O O N N N O O N N O O D D D O O O O O O O D D D D O N N O As you can see there is a spot where you get a week off straight every month. She liked it but it really drained her. She has a temporary day shift postion now. I don't know if this is what they were talking about but it sounds like it. |
