What would suit me best, shoe-wise, for this:

Standing and walking around, inside, at a hospital, 8 hours a day - doing a LOT of walking, but also a lot of standing in one place for hours (surgery).

I want them to be comfortable, last a long time, and be relatively easy to clean.

I have fairly large feet (12.5, 2E - I think).

Highly recommended. They're expensive, but worth it.

What did you wear for clinicals?

Alot of nurses wear some time of tennis shoe like New Balance or Nike. Also I would invest in several different pairs of gel insoles and experiment until I found some I liked.

New Balance that I got for $60 online - regularly $100

2 months later they have tears in the lateral aspect where the fifth metatarsal runs caudally towards the tarsals.  Pissed me off.
