Think I may buy one, they use regular 1911 mags?

I have one in Stainless.

Paid $409 for it.
It is a great gun...a steal at $409.

I have just kept it the way it is....a no frills, reliable 1911.

Just like the mil-spec less flared ejection port and sights. Great pistols!

I was going to buy one, but I HATED the sights.  I decided to spend some more and got a loaded parkerized model.  The Novak lo-mounts are nice and the beavertail safety really helps for getting a high hand hold.  If I had to pick between the GI and Mil-spec, I'd get the Mil-spec and have a decent set of usable sights.  It'll only cost about $30-50 more and it's worth it.  MJD

I have one and it's great. I did have to send it back for the extractor to get "tuned". Since then I've run a couple hundred rounds through it no problem. I don't have a problem with the sights, since I bought it for the looks of a standard GI type WW2 gun.

I heard the new SA M1911 pistols have titanium firing pins and stronger fp springs for safety? can the firing pin & spring be replaced by a standard steel firing pin? or is the fp hole a different size?

The only thing I don't like about them is hammer bite. Beaver tail grip.

That's my ccw piece. hundreds of rounds...no ftf's. I'll bet my life on it.

Hate the sights, other then that, I love mine.  If I see another for under 420, I am buying it.

I love mine. Just put a couple boxes through it last weekend with no problems.

thats cheaper than they cost back in the mid 80's

sounds like a good deal for a forged steel M1911A1 with walnut grips

My first thought, then it's missing the mag well beveling, which is why I purchased a mil-spec and put on a beaver tail.
