I love my family. Spend lots of time with the kids at ball games and other stuff. Enjoy being with the wifey. Been spending a lot of time together. But there are times you just have to spend some quality time by yourself. I skipped the boys all-star practice today, and went to the range. One of the best perks of being a local JBT is having unlimited access to the PD range. Alone. By myself. Just me and my little black rifle. Spent an hour and a half just taking my time, enjoying. Really got to concentrate on sight picture and trigger pull. I do a lot of CQB stuff most of the time, but tonight, I just relaxed and concentrated on fundamentals and a new rifle. I've got a new RRA Entry Tactical, and put rounds 101 through 200 tonight. I know that's not much, but I wanted to take my time with the new rifle and enjoy the feel of it. Kind of like making a new friend. You know. It just doesn't get any better than this. Anybody else get to enjoy days like this? |
