I heard somewhere that XM radio has a *cough cough* relationship*cough* with Clear Channel Radio.

Is this true-I'm curious because my mom's Trailblazer has 3 months free of XM.

You know what I really don't like about Sirius and XM?

The sound quality.

It's too compressed.

But does XM work with Clear Channel?

BTW-Dolomite-I was listening to it this morning and didn't find it to be "compressed"

it is compressed. Alpine's media expander feature can help, but it's just equalization.

No offense dude - but if you are a DJ, as your handle may lead one to believe - your hearing is probably shot (esp. in the high end).

Allow me to offer an explanation to my handle:

My first and middle name is David James.  People call me  deej because it is a combination of those names.  I was born in '86.  There you go.

Are there any other threads about XM that might tell me if they work with Clear Channel?

Put on your  tinfoil hat NoVaGator.

Clear Channel Communications is the ENEMY.

They take radio and turn it into crap.

You can take the tinfoil off now.

XM is a publicly traded company.

I own about as much XM stock as CC does.
