So Father's day is coming up and Dad mentioned he wanted an MP3 player that would allow him to use the lighter in the truck for a power outlet and that could play the songs back over an unused FM band in the radio.  A USB port so he could download the songs from his laptop would be needed as well.

So, hive mind, what say you?  Which player, what accessories to get the Dadster hooked up?

I use a Creative player though a modulator so much that I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio driving.

I hit RadioShack and got a $20 model that either goes into a cig lighter or uses 2 AAA batteries.  Only problem I've had is in Cincinnati all 4 of the channels 88.1-88.9 are used by local public radio... can get some static.  I have since picked up the $40 model by Monster (also from RadioShack) that doesn't do batteries but has an extra 4 channels.

I'm limited to one plug so I go with the modulator in the plug and the player running off its internal batteries
