I have recently downloaded the 15 minute practical Trigger Job for the AR-15.  I have everything Ineed to do the job except for the jewlers Pliers.  Anyone know where I could get a pair on the cheap.  I figure this is a one use items.  I don't mind spending the money, but I can't find them anywhere.

Also, if any of you have done this, did it help significantly?  How did it work for you?

I've just used plain old pliers that didn't have the crosshatiching on the gripping surfaces.  Worked fine.  Just don't put a crease in the spring.  This for me is the single best improvement I've made to my AR's.  I bought one of the RRA match triggers and tried it against my own "shade tree gunsmith' jobs.  I sold the RRA trigger the next day.  It may not be for all, but it works fine for me.

What is this 15min trigger job?

Dump as many rounds as you can in 15mins and smoothen up your trigger. Repeat as necessary untill trigger is smooth enough for your liking... ?

I've done this to all my ARs...you don't need any jewelers pliers to do it...just don't squeeze the living shit out of the regular pliers, you can use the edges to apply the force when bending the springs.

What's the purpose of this?

I have never had any of the problems that this "fix" is supposed to cure.

I tried this on my first and recent build. It helped the trigger immensely. However my rifle wouldn't fire! I replaced the spring and all was well. I'll try the modified spring again later when the rifle is fully broken in. Anyway it was a cheap experiment with no lasting effects.
