based on all the french posts i got to thinking tonight <yea i know it's dangerous for me>

If france went to war with a neighboring country that was also an allie of the US, what would the US do? would we support them or just ignore the situation?

We supported the Brits against the Argies back in the 80's. I suspect we'd pick the more important ally again and support them.

does france even rate as an allie today? i guess that is what i am wondering. i can't think of a western european nation that is more hostile toward the US than france.
