I don't understand why society continues to tolerate this bankrupt view of the world. I believe that its adherents should be marginalized - driven from the field. Their ideas should be openly ridiculed and exposed for what they are. Their spokesmen should be called to account on every lie, every logical error, every character flaw. Ted Kennedy should be unable to appear outside his home without hearing the name "Mary Jo Kopechne." John Kerry should have a Form 180 and a pen shoved in his face every time he opens his mouth. The entire "ideology" is predicated on a view of human nature that is inconsistent with the facts. It assumes that everyone wants to get along, that mutual respect is available (if only unoffending people will kowtow to thugs, thugs will respond positively to the display - whether the thug is Joe Stalin or a burglar in your living room). It is predicated on the idea that collectivism is the source and object of the highest good, and that individuals are mere components. It is clearly contrary to the ideas enshrined in the Constitution; it is on its face a mere half-step from totalitarianism and Mao suits for everybody. Leftists-Liberals-Progressives are enemies of humanity and of every single human. They are filth. They should be hounded, ridiculed, and silenced. I loathe them, though I pity the followers who are starry-eyed at the prospect of a "world without ____________ ." The leaders - the people who promote these ideas - the people who work and plot and sweat and bleed for the agenda - are beneath contempt. They are a cancer. I am sick of them, and I am sick of the idea that they can or should be tolerated or accommodated. I am disgusted by neo-statists like McCain who congratulate themselves for going wobbly and helping these would-be comissars stay afloat. I would like the Constitution, as written, acknowledged as the supreme law of the land. I would like to see respect for my right to be let alone a precondition for any government office from the Mosquito Control Board to the Presidency. I would like to see liberals ground underfoot, driven in shrinking timidity to tiny organic food co-ops in bad parts of town, afraid to bring their stinking asses to the polls. I hate the degradation and decay they have brought to this country. I hate the fact that our supposed leaders are kind to them. I long to see their programs torn down and burned root and branch, from Head Start to Social Security. I would like to seem them deported and America restored. Rant off. |

Your fundimental problem is that "Leftism-Liberalism-Progressivism" is based on the very greed that drives us. It's almost natural. Faced with no other option the masses will work to keep themselves alive. At some point they start to band together and the creep towards living off the backs of all the others begins. It starts with nobel goals to help those who are in trouble, but it expands like cancer. Why work hard and have difficulty when you can leave that to others because you have a right to: -Basic services -A standard of living -Freedom from poverty -A free education -Paid holidays for voting -To force employers to keep you on if you are [non-white, over 40, a woman, gay or bi] -Free heating -Free food or freedom from hunger -A "living wage" -Decent housing -Live off other peoples earnings to fund your retirement -Broadband to better your education -State-paid job training because you sought none on your own -Kill your offspring when they are inconveinient at tax-payer cost -Medication at state expense to maintain your boner so you can produce more offspring you don't want and can't pay for . ------Or in the case of Medicaid to bugger your pedophile cellmate in the ass on joe public's dime More and more people demand to be included in the ever growing list of things that it is your right to take from others to have. Pretty soon there are too few to support the lazy masses and a reset must happen and suddenly a new generation rediscovers the simple joy and hardship of having to make your own way again and have options beyond what your state tells you you will accept. |
|
I hear you my friend. All hyperbole aside, Leftist ideology is a death worshiping, self-destructive mental disorder. No further proof is needed than the fact that more than a hundred million people were sacrificed on the alter of collectivism during the last century, yet there are still those who refuse to see it as a fatally flawed & utterly failed paradigm. If that's not insanity, than what is??? |

As much as I admire you, I suspect that this particular rant was not as well thought out as your rants usually are. Why am I saying this? It isn't because your thoughts don't echo mine, or that I am jealous of your excellence in expression (well, I AM jealous of that It's a Yin-Yang thing. Without the mentally deficient fucktards of the left providing themselves as targets, how would we define our standards of excellence? What battles would be left to fight? The only true state of order in the universe exists in Heaven, where the Providential Authority creates a peace without such balance - but you will note that Hell has not yet been banished by Him, nor Satan squashed into Devil Pate. I hate the left, and consider their means, actions, ethics, and ethos to be deeply and completely wrong, evil, corrupt, illogical, childish, stooopid, and moronic. The only way I can identify those faults is by having something to compare them to. |

|
And how are they not? No where in your rant do you propose to actually debate the "liberals" and prove their ideas irrelevant. You say we should ostricize and marginalize them. By saying that you are telling us that you cannot win the argument by honest debate and your only hope is to win through thuggery. |
WHAT? The Liberal Loons on the Left have been pulling this bullshit for years! What's good for the goose is good for the gander, I'd say. Pindicks from your side of the mental hospital have been cheating, lying, supporting immoral and illegal people to lead this country down the road to Nanny State Socialism, and generally fucking us all over FOR LONGER THAN I'VE BEEN ALIVE, and doing it through the most corrupt and dishonest methods the world has ever witnessed. If good ideas and morally-correct views are able to be shouted down by your ilk, aided by your buddies in the media, then how come we can't act with equal aggression? WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT LIBERALISM THAT ONLY YOU PEOPLE CAN ACT LIKE ANIMALS? |
Everyone who disagrees with you is not a "liberal". I disagree with a great many liberal viewpoints, but to assume that all "liberals" are evil and should be ostricized is purely idiotic. |
I denounce anyone that does not seek a cordial debate. BTW I am not a "liberal". |
No, you dolt, if you'll actually read the post, I'm saying that they should be given no quarter. They should not be treated as exponents of equally valid ideas, contending for primacy. Their bankruptcy should be exposed, exploited, and pressed home. The underlying flaws in their position should be shouted to the rooftops. We should not be debating outcomes or intentions when exposure of their first principles will undo them completely. When debate occurs, the goal should not be to defeat, but to destroy. Leftists-Liberals-Progressives should not be tolerated as a "loyal opposition," because they are not. They should be exposed and destroyed. I realize that you are a narrow-minded materialist and therefore almost of necessity a literalist, but destruction need not, even in the most literal sense, involve violence or "thuggery." It can involve (and clearly is meant in the initial post to involve) only intellectual ruthlessness. Fear not, though: you are forgiven. I know that "going to school" is not the same as "acquiring an education." |
I believe his point was they these liberals are not worth the effort. Most of them would see the same thuggery applied tenfold to you. I have seen the type firsthand and the mean no goodwill toward their fellow man.
|
You must admit your five word rebuttal was\is a standard liberal rebuttal........ Yes, his last paragraph was "over the top" and SILENCED needs to be removed altogether but it was not bad for a rambling rant IMO As far as "all liberals" being evil and deserving of ostracization any of them that want Soldiers to Die or the Economy to Fail so that the President will "look bad" should be "ostricized" and more..... |
+1. I think there is enough history to back up and prove the lie of liberalism. How much more does one need? Is not decades of their BS enough to prove the bankruptcy of the liberal philosophy? As far as I am concerned a liberal is a socialist/ communist. A totalitarian wannabee as long as it doesn't effect them personally. But oh! Let it effect everyone else, especially conservatives and others who support the USC and what the FF tried to give and leave to us. |
I worry more about people who want to "marginalize" other people for holding viewpoints different than their own, whether they be liberal or conservative. |
Oh my! Don't tell them the truth! "The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it." - George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
|
There are two kinds of people in this world I can't stand, people who are inconsiderate to other peoples' cultures, and the dutch! .
Since when were rants battleplans instead of the furious anger to help fuel their passion? If he said Plan Off instead of Rant Off, I'd see it that way. He is expressing a furious anger that many of us more or less share for any person who wishes to tread on our rights, common sense, and rewards for hard work, whether left, right or inbetween, it just happens to be that liberals are opposing our way of life the most it seems. Unfortunately, generations before me on all sides of the political sidelines have let the country slowly slip out of a state of being where we could make a large impact. It always makes me wonder, when we really have to vote from the rooftops, will people know when that time is? Or has it already passed? ![]()
Would you go fight a deadly force with a book of facts or a weapon? Violence, ridicule and anger all have their place in our battle for rights. Just like debates do. You gotta whoop some ass to bring them to the debate room sometimes... |
That would pretty much be the entire screaming, finger-pointing, cop-beating, window-breaking and entering, rock-throwing and looting Left. Ranting and chanting in the streets is not debate. For that matter, debate is talk, and talk is way over-rated. At some point, one must get off one's ass and do something. That usually entails clearing away the obstacles and the loiterers and getting down to work. +1 FLAL1A |

Liberals are interesting in the sense that they think that Draconian Gun Control Laws, and Higher Taxes should be implemented but should not be applied to themselves. Liberalism (like Socialism and Communism) is just a form of Feudalism. ie. A certain class of people have one set of laws and social standards applied to them, whereas the unwashed masses (Proletariat) have another set of laws. During one period in Feudal Japan only the Samarai class could own and bear swords. Ditto for some Feudal European Countries in regards to Hunting, etc. Most the Liberals I know, really want a complete Gun Ban* *except for a certain class of people - white, well educated liberals with lots of money |
Many people of a liberal minset don't own many or even any guns, this is true. They probably only know about guns through exposure to them in fictional entertainment or reports of real world criminal activity, so thats what they associate them with. In that case, it is the burden of gun owners to send a positive message about gun ownership. The liberals demonize "the rich". The exact definition of "the rich" has varied, I have seen debates where many liberals see "the rich" as starting around 60K. They don't associate the term with anyone they know, so they don't see it impacting them. If they happen to be "rich" liberals, they tend to be rich enough that a higher tax bracket may not be extremely hurtful to their pocketbook, so they figure they can cough up some more bucks. |
100% accurate. I can't tell you how sickening it is to hear "Well if the US would just change it's policies then the terrorists would stop hating us." It's disgusting.
Yeah, I want to go to the moon. That makes 2 things that ain't gonna happen. |
Really? Show me where Jesus stresses the individual. Show me where Jesus' example leads one towards the temporal. |
Are you really that stupid or are you just trolling? |
1. Salvation, which is the principle aim the Incarnation (of Jesus' life on earth and his Crucifixion) is exclusively individual. There is no collective salvation. In fact, the principle "operational" departure of the Gospels from Judaism is that while God dealt before the Incarnation with Jews as a "people," in the Gospels, He deals exclusively with individuals. 2. The portion of the original post you quoted has nothing to with "temporal" values or issues. Your injection of the word was a complete non sequitur. No one suggested that Jesus leads to "the temporal." Do you know what "temporal" means? 3. You made an affirmative claim, to-wit:
a) Jesus said that collectivism is the source and object of the highest good; b) Jesus said that individuals are mere components; and (this wouldn't be a scriptural citation, but would come from a dictionary - if you have access to one) c) "Temporal" is a concept which is inconsistent with "collectivism." Best of luck. |
First off pal, you obviously think at least half of Americans should be dead or forced to submit to the views you project on to others. I don't understand why society continues to tolerate this bankrupt view of the world. I believe that its adherents should be marginalized - driven from the field. You further project conclusions that have no reality in progressivism. It is predicated on the idea that collectivism is the source and object of the highest good, and that individuals are mere components. Collectivism is no more mandated under progressivism than it is through the words of Jesus. Jesus absolutely preaches collectivism and absolutely leaves the individual to his own free will (just like progressivism). I don't understand why society continues to tolerate this bankrupt view of the world. I believe that its adherents should be marginalized - driven from the field. Scary how much that sounds like the Romans early view of Christ's teachings. I will pray for you. Pray that you evolve above this heart filled hate. Pray that you escape the grasp of the demon that currently owns you. |
And I will pray that you be delivered from the demon of ignorant pomposity, or from the lesser demon that drives you to publicize your affliction. |
It's faster if you say "Out! Out you demons of stupidity!" |
Well you should be worried then because from where I sit morality, being decent, virtue, and individualism are being marginalized right now. Hell, we are almost to the literal stage of wrong is right and right is wrong. I don't want to "debate" forever. I want to win and have a society that seems worth believing in again. So yes, I want PETA, NOW, ACLU, GREENPEACE, AMNISTY INTERNATIONAL, and the rest pushed back to the fringes where they belong. Some were a good idea when they started but have morphed into raving maddness. |

They make some pretty strong accusations without bothering to back them up........ Secret US Prisons hidden all around the world? Where we torture and kill people? What is their standard of proof, that they heard it from a NYTimes reporter? I would GUESS we do that too, I don't go on FOX and say it without proof though www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ%2FMGArticle%2FWSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031783120388&path=!nationworld&s=1037645509161 William Schulz, the director of Amnesty International USA, defended the group's earlier characterization of Guantanamo Bay and other U.S. detention centers as gulags, but acknowledged that "this is not an exact or a literal analogy." He said that there are differences, particularly in size and scope, between what goes on at U.S. prisons and those run by the former Soviet Union. "But there are some similarities," he insisted on Fox News Sunday. "The United States is maintaining an archipelago of prisons around the world, many of them secret prisons into which people are being literally disappeared - held in indefinite incommunicado detention without access to lawyers or a judicial system or to their families. And in some cases, at least, we know that they are being mistreated, abused, tortured and even killed." |
It's not like you are going to have a society where everyone magically agrees that a certain viewpoint is the 'right" way to look at an issue, that there will be no further discussion on that issue and thats that. A free society will ALWAYS have debate as an on-going fact of life."Win"?? There is no 'winning" where your viewpoint will prevail and thats that. |
|
Well said! Once again you have chosen to give people a lesson in reading and comprehension that, sadly, some are failing badly. I see no reason when you speak in a forum such as this, to take a concise and to the point explanation of your ideas, and turn it into a ten thousand word treatise explaining facts that are, or should be, already clear. Since the unstated facts in your post have been stated and debated here before, ad infinitum. Again, well said. I vote FLAL1A gets to wear the smart hat for today. |
Hey, we could start a civil rights defense organization that doesn't have a socialist agenda and have it devote half its resources to exposing how the aclu wants to destroy the Country I am reminded of the aclu going to bat for the Florida woman that wanted to wear her burka for her drivers license photo, you could barely even see her eyes, aclu said "thats enough for ID"(BS) |
