My old lady (yes we are getting along again, thanks for asking Zaphod) is a LCDR at the Pentagon (intel) and is giving a retirement event at lunch for on of the 05's at the office. Anybody have any good SAFE FOR WORK (think post tailhook Navy) punch ideas?

A really good punch is taking 1/2 gallon of sherbert [rainbow] and two 2 liter bottles of 7 up and mixing.  Looks good, tastes good, pretty dang simple.

*ETA* Congratulations on keeping the 'old lady' happy!

No Doc.  The only punch recipe I have is the one we used for all of our Hail & Farewells.

You can omit the booze if you want...but I'm not sure how it will taste.

Anyway...BIG punchbowl required:

-Couple of big bottles of 7-up
-Large can of pinapple juice
-Can of pinapple chunks
-Couple of packages of frozen strawberrys (Recommend you thaw them first.) and the juice.
-One or two bottles of Champaigne
-1/2 bottle of 151 Rum (About a pint)
-Fill with ice and stir!

This recipe is a sneaky one...the girls love the wimpy, sweet taste then all of a sudden the booze catches up with them!

Anyway...good luck!

jungle juice:

1 cooler
1 large bag of ice
3 liters of vodka
3 cool aid packets with the sugar already in it

The key here is to let the girls drink at least 3 times as much as you do, cause you don't want to pass out before they do.

Is the Pentagon as dry as naval vessels?

Hmmm...edited to add: as dry as naval vessels (save the goat locker)?
