Did anyone else see the Jaywalking segment on Jay Leno the other night where in the spirit of Memorial Day he went out on the street and started asking passers-by questions about US history and more specifically military history.

The audience thought it was hilarious that most of these asshats didn't even know who fought in WWII or even the CIVIL WAR!!!  I don't necessarily think it makes you stupid or a bad person not to know history, but it scares me that so many people care so little about our country and our history that even questions like this were too difficult for them.

I suppose they are a liberal's dream though.  It's much easier to rewrite history to suit your political agenda when no one knows the real version, huh?

Sean Hannity did this same bit on his radio show yesterday with almost identical results, so I doubt Leno was just showing us the exceptions.  I just find it sad that anyone found any reason to laugh...

That is why politicians have been getting away with passing all of these BS-type of laws. As long as people have a full gas tank, its Friday, and a pay day; they're happy. Who cares what happened way back then.

It's kind of funny, in sort of the same way as watching baby kittens whose eyes haven't opened yet fall down a flight of steps.  It makes me wonder if these people were asleep their entire life or if their teachers were all hanging out behind the school smoking a bowl instead of teaching their class.

I mean, I ASSUME at least some of the people Leno and Hannity interviewed had attended some school at some point in their clueless lives....

How much you wanna bet all those folks were big gun control fans too?

Just remember this thought when you are watching 'jaywalking' or the quiz show he puts on or "point/what's your point":

These people get to vote just like you do.

Shudder.
