I went to Bass Pro Shops this past weekend and was looking at their Red Head Ranger 12/24 fireproof safe. I was wondering if anyone had this safe? Also how do you keep the humidity out of a safe? It was on sale for $575 from $699.

Well, I don't have that safe but desicant absorbes moisture.

That being said if you keep the safe in your house instead of your garage your heat/air conditioner should be plenty to keep the humidity down enough to prevent rust as long as you whipe them down every once in a while.

On the other hand if you have an evaporative cooler, popular here in AZ but I'm not sure about FL, you will definitely want some desicant packs.

The one I'm talking about looks just like that one! I would not doubt that winchester makes it for them!

AMSEC has some reasonable and stout safes in smaller sizes.
