Are Red dots any better or worse than the traditional scope? I was looking at them and wanted to get feedback from people who own them. Im particularly looking at the open red dot scopes.

They are faster to use for tactical distances. You don't have to center the red dot in the field of view.

For longer distances a traditional scope would work better.
