Reading a thread not so long ago. An individual asked a question about disassembly of a keltec 2000. It got me to realize that no matter what weapon I buy. Whether new or used, I will get a blown up schmatic of that weapon and then proceed to tear it down completely. I want to know the parts that are involved in making it work and how I would go about repairing it. I want to know the mechanical functions. I did this with stereos, bikes, t.v.'s and record players as I was growing up. I've always have had a inquisitive mind.
Does anyone else dismantle their extended protective devices???

When I get a new gun I just take it apart. No pictures or schematics, just take off what is easiest at that point. Sounds kinda dumb, but thats how I work. Never had a problem and I dont anticipate one.

Oh, and I also work on airplanes!!!!

Yes, frigging sear pin was a bitch to put back in cause I didnt have a clamp to compress the spring in such a way to line up the holes correctly.
