Well, its a beautiful sunny sunday afternoon here in bad Kissigan germany, and I'm stuck inside sorting out all my gear in an attempt to clear The Clothing Issue Facility. I made the mistake of pulling down all the gear I've accumulated over the last 3 and a half years. In the process ive discovbered some interseting things, klike the fact that 3/4 of my accumulated shit covers the entire floor of the back bedroom to a height of about 3 feet. heres some other high lights of what i'm finding: 3 AK47 bayonets, of east german design 3 traditional arab headscarves approximitly 13 sets of vaious wiley x goggles anorther 5 or 6 sets of ess goggles of several tyypes ebough loadbearing gear to outfit about a squad of infantrymen 2 new style kevlars 2 old style an iba that i forgot i ordered before i went to iraq, that i guess came to my cmr and my buddy stuck in the back room for me 20 some odd kevlar covers both desert and woodland somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 m16 mags 4 pairs of altima jungle boots new in the box 5 body bags enough nbc gear to protect the entire population of rhode island in the case of a wmd attack a shoe box full of combat knives a foot locker full of krylon camo spraypaints 2 arms rail sets 19 camelback bladders 26 canteens a dremel and all the crap it came with my marpat kilt 2 g2 surfires i bought 2 years ago and forgot about a gallon ziplock bag full of surefire batteries 3 fobus surefire rail mounts 6 scopes of various brands a bugle naked pictures of my ex wife 2 pairs of smith and wesson handcuffs the key to my gunsafe back in michigan a throwing hatchet a complete mil map set of kosovo and serbia and im only about halfway through the stuff anybody ever find anything good that you forgot about when you were packing stuff up for a move? i might post a picture of this disaster area later if i can find my camera. |
I sense a disturbing trend here

i very well may be posting some crap up on the ee when i get to kansas, i may have to unload the boots if we change over to suedes, but for now i have to box this stuff and send it to the states, i know it breaks yall's hearts doesn't it. to make it even worse i have a storage rental garage things full of crap along the same lines back in mich that i have to sort through next month. at the rate im going im gonna be able to outfit my own private platoon, as for my ex if yall haunt the strip clubs around ft benning long enough you'll probably see better than the pix, since that was where she was working last i heard. it makes me wonder how much richer i owuld be if i hadn't have bought half of this stuff. out of all the crap im finding i can't find a pair of cvc fliers gloves, of which i know i have at least 4 pairs, and i can't clear without them. the irony s like a kick in the wedding tackel. |
Nah got enough 30s, but um them there 20s sound tmepting..... EE time for you! ![]() I'll see ya over there when ya post some of this stuff up. ![]() |
how much would you part with one pair for? that is my size any large regular JSLIST suits? |
I have a couple new pair of the gloves, the CVC Helmet, and bag to match and they have been sitting for the last couple years!.... No kidding on how fast that stuff added up, I only wish I would have kept one of the several Kevlar's I gave away to the guys before I left. I gave away brand new TA-50 by the armloads, to bad it is damn near impossible to turn in extra gear, military would never have to buy again. I wish I would have been smart enough to know I was going to become a firearms junkie, I would have kept a few MRE boxxes of the 20 rd mags we used to throw out. BTW: WTH are you going to do with 5 body bags?...( They do make good gear bags of you have a buddy to help you drag them around)

it may freak some people out, but i started with one body bag for this reason They are waterproof, they are easy to fit in, and with 2 poncho liners they make one hell of a good portable summer sleeping bag. really freaked out my buddies though. not sure when the other 4 moved in though. |
I did the same thing, a couple of the guys on one of the gun crews I was out with one night thought I was kidding about making sure to turn it inside out so no one can zip you into your own bag.... He remmember'd the next night.

| you should have seen the stuff I accumulated after 20 years in the Army.........if I would have known civilian with a wannabe complex would be dumb enough to pay good money for the stuff, I would have sold them......my advice sell anything extra you have, there is alway a market for that junk in the wannabe world. |
Makes me wonder what a Airsofter would pay for a CVC helmet. |
Probably a good amount. |
| According to my son who just PCS'd to Korea, it's the stuff you don't discover AFTER you get there that is the pain in the butt.. Had to make two trips to his storage unit to pull and mail stuff to him. And the stuff we found in his brothers room where he stayed while on leave that he forgot to pack. |
