So I just got in from work and I flip on the TV to see whats on, which isnt a lot at midnight.  I figure that there must be something on the Military Channel.  But ITS NOT THERE.  Anyone else's DirecTV not have it anymore????

Noticed it today, it's gone,  pissed me off too,  it's one of my favorites.

I don't have direct TV anymore, but occasionally I would lose a couple channels. I'd have to go outside and adjust the dish a LITTLE BIT until the channels would come back.

I am watching it right now on DirecTV.  You might have to "re-boot" your receiver by unplugging it and plugging it back in.  DirecTV is bad about losing the guide information too.

I never have to re-boot by Dish Network service at the lake, but I have to re-boot the DirecTV about once a week on average.

I think that  Dish Network kicks DirecTV's ass, but I am waiting to see if Dish is going to put out the same volume of Hi-Def channels as DirecTV is rolling out.

Second the reboot.  My old receiver/Tivo combo (Sony SAT-60) would occasionally lose all the guide and authorized channel info (and favorite channel programming).  A reboot will force the box to reacquire the guide and  authorized channels (but I'd have to reprogram the favorite channel list again ).

If that doesn't work call Customer Support and they'll reinitialize the receiver (Had to do that a couple of times).

My new box (RCA DVR80) hasn't had the problem.

Ok, dumb question, but do I unplug the cable jack, phone line, electrical plug, or all of them to reboot?

just unplug the power cord.
I must be blessed with a good unit or good power. I only had to reboot mine about once every 6 months

Me too, but all you have to do is go back to your channels settings and repick some favorite channels that became "unchecked."
