Well, my 2000th post is here and I thought I would do something unique to signify this. I racked my mind what to do that had not been done before… and it hit me, why not take this rather insignificant event and make an overly praiseful press release then couch it as a major occurrence to the media outlets, and then post the befuddled replies that I get. Surely this will set a new standard for odd / unique behavior that is done for these milestone post counts.
So, starting next week, after finals, I’m sending this out to all the major news outlets like NBC News, CBS News, ABC, Fox News, Drudge, ect….

Killbot, a longtime member of ar15.com is pleased to announce that he has made 2000 postings in the various forms that comprise the website.
Killbot, whose name is derived from a episode of the hit TV show ‘The Simpsons’ (episode 1F14; Homer Loves Flanders) first joined the community in August 2003. Over the past several years, Killbot has become one of the most admired members on the board, and his consul is routinely asked in all matters. His logic is as flawless as a fine diamond and as sought after as a Picasso.
Recently, Killbot became a ‘Gold Contributor’ / Team Member of the forum.
A web based press conference is scheduled, tentatively, for sometime in mid May 2005.
Killbot has asked that in lieu of flowers to signify his achievement, all donations should be made to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the Fifty Caliber Institute (FCI).
