One time I borrowed my brother's Suburban for a couple of hours.  Thought I'd be a sweetheart and fill it up for him before I returned it.

Trouble is - I'm used to filling the tank on a Nissan Maxima.

We don't ever eat out but a 100 bucks doesn't last long here either.  I have 3 sponges, I mean kids that soak it up.  There's always money needing to be dished out to any combination of sponges imaginable.  It costs me $600 a month just to feed the family and we raise our own beef and shoot game [I rarely buy meat].  It costs me $80 bucks to fill up the suburban - but I drive my little car [Cutlass Olds] most places or the pick up [41 Chev pick up gets pretty good gass milage but only goes about 45 top speed].

We don't do that

I took a hundred into the store last night and walked out with $15 change. Got enough groceries to last a few days and a few odds and ends we needed around the house. With the $15 I hope to fill my gas tank up, I'm sure it might get it close since it is just below a half a tank and it's a 10gal tank.

Well I'll give credit where its due at least you buy gas.  I figure my wife has a phobia about ATMs and gas pumps.

The problem is that you should stop eating out. The food even though is tastes good and everything, is loaded with fat and salt. Figure you can shave you dinner bill by cooking your meal youself. There are many cooking sites on the internet.

If you buy one "colachie" each weekday and brew your own @ 50 cents, your savings of 2.50 per day would amount to 650.00 over the course of a year. Say fyou are in the 20% tax bracket. You had to earn 812.50 to buy the stuff. If we annualized the items that "just" cost a "insignificant" amount, we would be surprised at how much we piss away. [emoticon with green eyeshade].

50 pack of ramen noodles: $25
60 boxes of Mac and cheese (imitation brand): $20  (3 for $1 on sale)
Large thing of tang/fruit drink mix: $5

Then I'd have $50 to spend on other college essentials, like Beer, gin, scotch, tequilia, etc. . .

The wife and I recently figured up that not taking into account any growth costs of the side business (investment) our personal and our guaranteed financial overhead commitments for the business equal $479.45 a day if I do nothing new or different.

$20 (19.97) an hour on a 24 hour day means that $100 lasts me 5 hours if I do nothing but breathe.
