I did a trade with a fellow member from Wyoming. Great trade, great guy to deal with. I traded my EAA Witness pistol for his Savage bolt gun. His FFL was kinda flakey about the transaction, and insisted that he send a copy of HIS FFL to MY dealer. OK, no biggie. I got the copy, had MY FFL send a copy of his license to him. My buddy in WY sends the rifle, I send the pistol. I get the rifle at my dealer, pay the fee, and get the gun. But I just got an email from my bud in WY: "The store will not transfer the pistol to me because it contains no FFL. I tried to explain to him what was going on, but he says it is Federal law that there must be an FFL. I may just pay to have it sent back to you and find someone else who will do the transfer without all the hassles. I thought this guy was a "friend", but I guess now I know what he is. Let me know how we can get this worked out and we will go from there." Am I wrong here? I thought that there was NO requirement that an FFL copy be IN the package - he already HAS the FFL copy that was sent to him from my dealer a few days before I sent the pistol via FedEx. WTF? Does anyone have a link for me to email this guy? |

The sticker is that the FFL wasn't the one who was sent my FFL's copy (not that he needed it, though). He sent me his, and shipped the pistol. Why the bitch-fit? He's wanting MY FFL's license copy to have been sent in the box - WTF? Maybe if I could get my FFL to send him a copy ? |
(espcially since he ALREADY had a copy of the FFL)
