Went tanneriting on Easter with a friend.  We had a truck full of targets and stuff to shoot at.  We put a 6 bottle charge of tannerite (3 pounds) inside an old computer and  turned it into nothing.  Only recoverable piece was part of the chasis, which was on the bottom of the newly formed crater.   We then did a 10 bottle charge (5 pounds), taped to the front side of a big old sun monitor.  It made a huge hole, and the only recovered piece was found pretty far away.  We also put 3 pounds in a rabbit hole, and it made a HUGE hole after that.  We had fun shooting at the rest of the stuff (watermelons, coleman propane bottles, hard drives ect...)  We were on top of a hill, at a safe distance, and the explosions were enormous.  There was alot done, but we only took a few pics of some of it.

Does wrapping the bottles in Duct tape really increase the blast?

Nice area to shoot in! I just love going to prestine areas to shoot & leaving it with pieces of broken glass & metal particles.

I don't believe the duct tape helps the blast, it so if you wing it with a bullet, or break it open, it keeps the bottle  pretty much intact , so you can shoot at it again.

Beleive it or not, this is one of the worst pieces of BLM lands around.  So bad, that no one ever goes there, except  me to shoot targets.   The only piece that could be found was part of the computer chasis, and that twisted piece of metal.  No other pieces could be found (too small).  Way out there, a few micro sized pices of  metal and glass won't hurt anything, being as their is no wildlife around, and no one to see anything, and the place is pretty big.

Didn't you watch the video?!

They specifically say you are not supposed to blow up computers!

I was under the impression that taping them together reduced the overall effect...?

We poured it in to 1 gallon jugs.

You mean to say you didn't put a 1 bottle charge into a watermelon?

Pity.

Looks like you had some fun.

We've always mixed and poured Tannerite into a single container.

For larger ones, we use plastic soda (20 oz, 1 lt, etc..), gatorade bottles (32 & 64 oz), and various water bottles. We've even mixed one up into a single milk jug (1 gal).

Just currious if all the other seperate bottles you taped together detonated if one nearby goes off? Seems like a less reliable or possible waste of Tannerite mix.

In the picture with the truck, you will notice that there is a bottle of tannerite sticking out of the watermelon.
