| I like N. Ga, Cohutta wilderness. Jacks or Conasauga rivers. Also Cooper Creek area. |

I fly fish so: Fish Creek, Kootnai Creek, Clark Fork River (Kelly and Jacobs Islands can be good), Missouri River (from a drift boat), sections of the Bitterroot River, Rattlesnake Creek if I could - damn hippies, and so many more. Basically if I have my fly-rod and some time I'll fish wherever the water looks decent. I prefer creeks to riverst though. The fish that I catch aren't nearly as big but I catch a hell of a lot more of them, I'm releasing anyway so doesn't matter to me. I'm just out there for some fun. |

I'll wet a fly in one of several favorite spots here in the Arkansas River headwaters area. There's about 120 miles of stream with public access on most of it between Leadville and Canon City. Some of the best fishing in the state right here. Also will join friends on the Gunnison several times a year, too. These are certainly two of my big reasons for being in the Rockies. |
Yeah but when you are already out in Augusta Highland county then you fish there unless it is bad and then you go over to the other side |

I used to fish the Bitterroot around travelers village wehen I lived in Conner MT. I lived off of trout out of the Payette river in Mcall ID. Now I'm stuck in KY and the nearest trout is 100+ miles down the road. Never was much of a fly fisherman, but I throw a mean panther martin. Sua Sponte |
They're both beautiful lakes. |
Cusk spawn in late winter. They travel from deeper parts of lakes into water between 10-40 feet deep. You can put six ice-fishing lines out that are baited with fish. They're left overnight. Cusk are the only freshwater species of cod. The meat is tastier and make a great chowder or baked. It is a little soft for frying but if you're careful then you can eat them that way as well. They look like this: ![]()
