I try to make mine from scratch. Xtra virgin olive oil in the dough made with unbleached flour and 1/5 whole wheat flour and a dusting of corn flour, some water and yeast. Real whole milk mozzarella chese Good italian deli meats Real portabella or shittake mushrooms Fresh sliced orange, yellow and red bell peppers Lotza fresh crushed garlic Finely chopped vidalia onion Fresh crushed roma tomatoes Follow it up with a nice Valpoliccela or mild Merlot. Takes about an hour to prep, another to cook in a gas oven with a cast-iron skillet for that deep-dish perfection. |

| When I moved to Brazil and was first adjusting to the food, they made me pizza as a treat, since all gringas like pizza. I looked forward to it for a week... and that night it was presented to me... covered in SARDINES!!!!! I STILL want to cry when I think of it... |

Oh man....cant get the good stuff anymore...when I was in north Jersey I sure couldnt carry a gun, but damn the pizza was good. Some favorites... Pepperoni and mushrooms Sausage and extra cheese Meatballs, garlic, and bacon And some exotic favorites... Clams and garlic Pesto sauce, ricotta, and garlic on a white pie Give me thin crust, give me deep dish, sicillian....extra cheese.....damn I miss good pizza.
