I was hitting the local shops and I saw some mags at a decent price so I grabbed all of them, definately USGI but not sure of the make. They looked new.![]() The owners girlfriend was running things while the owner was out so she didn't know. They say on the floor plate: .223 cal/5.56 mm NHMTG S/42 Hartford, CT I hope I didn't make a mistake one side says the usual military/ govt/leo or export only other says NHMTG Hartford CT 33710 7-04 |

These mags are made by Okay Industries, which is the same subcontractor who manufactures Colt mags. That's Okay's CAGE code on the side (33710). You "aren't supposed to know" that Okay is the manufacturer, because Okay isn't allowed to sell mags directly to the public. -Troy |
okay, cool! |
So how do some of the dealers get crates of them? Just asking as I bought a dozen of then a few months ago that were still boxed and obviously brand new. I believe they cost me $14 apiece. However at the last funshow I was at there were next to no new mags being sold besides a few Bushie/Labelles. Even the Old junky mags were up to 25 to $30 bucks. Obviously I passed on them all. I guess I will continue to use my mostly alum. follower 20 rounders from whenever. |
OK here is what I bought. 30 rounders, Packaged ina white cardboard box[ind.] 1005009215004, 1005-00-921-5004, P/N 8448670, 1ea, DAAE20-03-C-0009, COM-07/04 On mag it reads. On the side of the body, OKAY Industries INC New Britain CT USA. Also on side of mag 33710, 6-04On the baseplate, same thing sans the 33710 and date. Typical LEO only junk on other side. Besides the OKAY stamping they are an exact match of a Colt mag. I wish I had bought more as they supply around here has dried up completely but for old junky used ones. |
